Counterpoint to the "It is a shame that Marvel does not care about its older, loyal fans" - i've been a marvel reader for several decades, and this older fan found more interesting ideas in the plans for Oct and Nov than I have in a good while. I'll actual be increasing the number of Marvel comics i'll be buying. I just think it's interesting that people don't get that their writers change over time and therefore so will the characters. Therefore, everyone's mileage will vary. Its life.

I think your last sentiment is exactly right. What one reader loves, another loathes. That’s simply par for the course. Hopefully, though, we’ll continue to produce a wide range of titles so that there’s something for everyone, and we’ll do stuff that appeals to the greatest number of readers possible, if not all of them. At least, that’s what we’ll be attempting.
